British American Tobacco Nigeria Job Vacancy for Brand Manager

Salient Accountabilities:

- Applicants would be responsible for recommending changes to brand programmes
- Applicants would assist Brand Manager in the development of a strategic plan for respective brand(s)
- Applicants would recommend brand attributes to be reinforced based on brand’s role in portfolio
- Applicants would support definition of high level brand programmes
- Applicants would assist Brand Manager in the development and execution of an operational brand plan
- Applicants would recommend venues and communication channels
- Applicants would support development of message content
- Applicants would recommend schedule for brand events
- Applicants would monitor implementation and results of operational brand plan
- Applicants would monitor and report brand expenditure to ensure it does not exceed budget defined in operational brand plan
- Applicants would analyse market research data in order to understand brand issues and market opportunities
- Applicants would develop ideas on product innovation in order to achieve competitive advantage
- Applicants would provide insights around brand strategy in the development/ implementation of trade programmes by Trade area
- Applicants would also, work in conjunction with Trade area to ensure that product is correctly managed throughout the supply chain and brand programmes are effectively implemented by trade team in respective markets.
- Applicants would select in conjunction with Marketing Service Team adequate touch points for designed brand programmes.
- Applicants would liaise with Marketing Service Team to ensure smooth execution and evaluation of brand activities.
- Applicants would close working relationship with Strategy Planning & Insights (SP&I) team to ensure contribution into research projects conducted in various end markets.
- Applicants would develop close relationship with external agencies to ensure day-to-day activities related to brand programmes are performed with required quality and agreed cost & timescales as defined in operational brand plan


Knowledge, Skills and Experience:

- Applicants should be eloquent in English and French Language(oral and written )
- Knowledge of West Africa francophone markets would be an advantage to applicants
- Applicants' experience in Brand Area would be an advantage
- Applicants should be skilled in consumer engagement and Brand programme development
- Applicants should be skilled in project monitoring and management
- Applicants should have Managerial & Interpersonal Skills
- Applicants should be good in negotiation and influencing

- Enhancement in Consumer Disposition Funnel bottlenecks
- Genuine forecasting
- Brand awareness and Imagery attributes ratings
- Timely development/ implementation of programmes
- Financial impact of programmes (e.g. ROI)
- Sales volume and Market Share
- Brand financials (e.g. P&L, margin)
